My partner and I went to the restaurant for an evening meal, we were the only people there when we arrived. We were met by a pleasant member of staff and shown to our table, where an extension lead was trailing behind the chair attached to a lamp on the window sill, not the safest of situations, in the not that distant background music that was “ Shabba Ranks rapping Ting-A-Ling “ not what one would choose whilst having an evening meal! We were handed the menu and a handwritten sheet of paper and told “This is wot ain’t on the proper menu”! Our order was taken and arrived at the table just shy of 35 minutes later. My partner had the Lamb Shank with garlic and thyme crushed potatoes, the potatoes were so over seasoned with Thyme as to be virtually inedible. I had the 10 oz Burger and chips with salad, the burger by comparison was totally unseasoned and dry. I do not understand the fad of dishing up a meal on a piece of wood! When we asked for the dessert menu we were handed a meal order piece of paper from a pad, with 4 items written on it. That sealed it for us and we paid and left vowing not to return.

Very disappointed with the food and service. We were asked to move booking from 8pm to 7pm. Not a problem. Unfortunately the meal came out in drubs and drabs. Main course cold and over cooked. Waited a very long time between courses and if the owner/ manager hadn’t asked if we had had dessert, I m unsure of how long we would have been waiting! There were 3 other people in besides our party of 13. Our complaint was met with ‘ I’ll talk to the catering staff. No apology. Won’t be going again

I went for a meal with our dart team ( of 12 ) people Inc partners and the food was the most unpleasant meal we had ever tasted and that was the opinion of all 12 of us, I complained to the manager and she just said she would have a word with the catering staff, nothing else , I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone

Sat there for an hour waiting for the food, didn't turn up, staff where sorry but not good enough, will give the restaurant 1 more try so will update then.

Pro ::: Lovely seafood platter for two, catered for 3+
Very accommodating chef, attentive staff.
Cons:: not many people, restaurant was cold, need a jacket or a wrap .
Entering the restaurant tables didn’t look inviting, not set for service.
Would we go back , yes other dishes we saw served look appealing/ appetising, but will dress for a chill in the dining room .
Appreciate not always easy to keep a warm temperature in a big restaurant dining room .

This is the first time we have had food from Blues. Had a delivery as we fancied a steak for a change . So happy we did. Food was amazing. I had the ribeye and my wife had the sirloin. Both cooked to perfection. Great value and loads of food ( too much really ) delivered within half hour. Amazing service. Amazing food. We will be back

Amazing food, staff went above and beyond for us . Helping us especially when we were in fact stranded without transport. Thanks for the lovely food compliments to the chef for my lovely steak . Definitely be seeing you again 😊

Friendly, courteous service with fantastic food, everything is incredibly tasty, we went 3 times in 1 week with visiting relatives & plan another visit this weekend! We have finally found a great local restaurant!

Great food, booked table for 6pm. So no real atmosphere, as very quiet. Only negative was several menu items not available. However, I would still try again.

Just had a fabulous roast dinner at the Blues Restaurant.
Well cook veg, lots of extra veg and gravy.
All was served hot and with friendly service.

Our first visit and very impressed with the food. We had lamb shank and lamb ribs. Cookie dough and the berry cheese cake. Very tasty.

Excellent food and service.
Really friendly staff. Lovely and clean aswell. Not too badly priced either. Food was exceptional really good quality of food. Only down fall was the wait time for food we was waiting 1hr but food was well worth the wait. Will be visiting again. We'll worth a visit if you are thinking of going.

Four of us visited your restaurant last night 8pm booking there was a party of 14 before us. We cannot fault your food and portion sizes however the two poor waitresses and bar manager were rushed off their feet. I take my hat off to them as they remained polite, attentive and professional also having to contend with a large take out order. This through no fault of the girls impacted on the length of time it took to have our meal. Management would have seen the booking and should have laid on at least another staff member to keep things flowing better for customer satisfaction. Because of the hard work that the girls put in and the quality of food it will not put us off returning but don't run your staff ragged or you won't keep them they are worth their weight in gold.
